Welcome to MyHotCoffeeSpots ("the site", "we", "us"). By creating an account or contributing content you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't sign up.

1. Who can use the site

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.

2. Your content

When you submit a café, review, photo, or any other content, you confirm that:

it's your own work, or you have the right to share it;
it's honest and based on your genuine experience;
it doesn't contain unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or discriminatory material;
it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or privacy.

You keep ownership of your content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share it as part of the site (including on social previews and in embeds). We can remove any content at any time, for any reason, without notice.

3. Community rules

Be kind. Rate cafés on the five pillars honestly. Don't spam, astroturf, post fake reviews, scrape the site, or attempt to disrupt it. Accounts that break these rules can be suspended or deleted.

4. Emails

By signing up you agree that we may email you about your account, your submissions, changes to these terms, and occasional updates about the site. Every non-essential email will include an unsubscribe link.

5. Your data & privacy

We store your email, display name, and the content you submit in order to run the site. See our Privacy Policy for full details. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us — your reviews may remain visible in anonymised form to preserve the community history.

6. No warranty

The site is provided "as is". Cafés change, close, and evolve; reviews are personal opinions, not professional advice. We don't guarantee accuracy, availability, or that a café is still the way somebody described it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are significant we'll let you know by email or with a notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept them.
